fonts-mathjax-extras software package provides JavaScript display engine for LaTeX and MathML (extra fonts), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-mathjax-extras
fonts-mathjax-extras is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-mathjax-extras package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-mathjax-extras *
You will get with fonts-mathjax-extras package name, version, architecture and description in a table
